On day 4, our journey starts from Chame to Pisang which is about 4.5 km. On foot, it takes over 5.5 hours and an elevation increase of 600m. During this hike, we cross several Gurung villages and lovely views of the Himalayan mountain chain spanning from Manaslu to Annapurna 2 await. From Chame first, we visit Bhuratang, the village which is famous on the trail for its apples. Due to the frosty winters, it is the perfect condition to grow apples here. Trekkers are fond to taste the apple pies here. Now from Bhuratang, we continue our journey to Dhukur Pokhari. We are amazed to see the beautiful Swarga dwari in the distance which is believed to be the gateway to heaven. Through Dhukur pokhari we cross the main road and 3 bridges and we arrive at upper Pisang. Pisang is livened with a panoramic view of mountains and crystal clear skies. It has a typical old heritage house in the Manang region. There we see large grassy fields and it’s a football ground for Pisang Youth Club. Nice view of the monastery and Mountains like Annapurna 12, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal can be seen. In the evening, we will reach the lodge in Pisang and stay overnight.
