      Overview: Mustang is the famous tourist destination situated in the north of the Annapurna region bordered with Kagbeni village. It lies on the top of Kaligandaki River. Mustang is also known to be preserving the undistributed Tibetan culture. Spring (March, April, and May) and autumn (September and October) is the perfect time to visit Mustang. The major attractions of this trek are Marpha village, Jomsom, Mt.Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Mountain. Exploring Thakali culture might be a wonderful experience from this trek.

      Itinerary

      1Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara

      The first day of the trek begins with the ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The
      approximate distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 204 km so; it takes 5-6 hours by
      bus. We spend our day exploring some places in Pokhara and rest there at night.

      2Day 2: Pokhara to Jomsom

      The journey begins after having breakfast in Pokhara. The distance of Jomsom (2700m)
      from Pokhara is 155km. We will reach Jomsom from Pokhara by flight.

      3Day 3: Kagbeni to Chele

      Kagbeni (2810m) lies at an approx 30-minute distance from Jomsom. We begin our
      journey from Kagbeni. The elevation of Chele is 3050m. We ascend towards Chele from
      Kagbeni after having breakfast.

      4Day 4: Chele to Syangboche

      We ascend towards Syangboche (3840m) after breakfast. The distance from Chele to
      Syangboche is around 11.5km. It takes around 6-7 on foot to reach there as it is an uphill
      way. We spend our night at Syangboche.

      5Day 5: Syangboche to Dhakmar

      On the fifth day of the trek, we descend from Syangboche to Dhakmar (3750m). It is 4-5
      hours trek.

      6Day 6: Dhakmar to Lo Manthang

      Lo Manthang (3960m) is known as the town of Buddhist monasteries. We ascend
      towards Lo Manthang from Dhakmar enjoying the spectacular view.

      7Day 7: Rest in Lo Manthang

      Rest in Lo Manthang and visit some places there for spectacular view of beaiful nature.

      8Day 8: Lo Manthang to Tsarang

      Tsarang lies at the elevation of 3588m. We descend towards Tsarang from Lo Manthang.
      It takes 4-5 hours to reach Tsarang. We can visit the ruins of palaces in Tsarang.

      9Day 9: Tsarang to Syangboche

      After resting at Tsarang we ascend towards Syangboche which is 7-8 hours walk on foot.
      We can enjoy the views of Annapurna from Syangboche.

      10Day 10: Syangboche to Chusang

      On the ninth day of the trek, we head towards Chusang (2980m). The way from
      Syangboche to Chusang is quite difficult. It takes almost 6-7 hours to reach Chusang
      from Syangboche.

      11Day 11: Chusang to Jomsom

      We return to Jomsom from Chusang via jeep enjoying the view of mighty Himalaya’s
      peak and Mt.Dhaulagiri. We reach Jomsom around lunchtime. After our lunch, we take a
      16 km drive until we reach a sacred Muktinath temple. We return back to Jomsom to take
      rest and call it a day.

      12Day 12: Jomsom to Pokhara

      It takes 18 minutes through a flight to return Pokhara from Jomsom. Pokhara is one of the
      tourist areas so we can easily spend our day in Pokhara exploring different places.

      13Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu

      On the last day of our tour, we travel back to Kathmandu via a flight.
